The SKS Frontpull 8i is a high-precision robotic welding torch system designed for industrial automated welding. Its integrated wire feeding unit provides uniform wire feeding close to the welding process, while the high-current rotary joint allows the torch to rotate endlessly beyond 360° without twisting the torch cable. The integrated collision detection system helps protect the torch and robot from damage, while its lightweight 3.8 kg design makes it suitable for robots with smaller payloads. It supports MIG/MAG, pulse, MIG brazing, microMIG and microMIG-cc processes and can weld materials including aluminum, low- and high-alloy steels, copper alloys and nickel-based materials.

It is used for automated robotic MIG/MAG welding, including pulse, MIG brazing, microMIG and microMIG-cc processes
The air-cooled Frontpull 8i supports up to 420 A at 60% duty cycle and accepts wire diameters from 0.8 to 1.6 mm.
The endless rotary joint allows the torch to rotate beyond 360° without torsional stress on the torch cable, while integrated collision detection can signal the robot to stop when the torch is deflected by a collision.
