UNICON Clam Shell Gate and Sector (Gear) Gate Systems are rugged flow-control solutions for bulk material handling. Designed for high-temperature, adhesive, and abrasive materials, the clamshell mechanism provides reliable on-off control and accurate regulation of solids discharge from bins, chutes, silos, and conveying lines. All material-contact surfaces can be lined with Hardox 200, 400, or 500, or other wear liners based on duty, ensuring long service life in severe applications. Sector Gate Systems are engineered with welded, precisely timed gear sets that minimize stress on teeth and eliminate lubrication needs. Once aligned, gear sets are welded in place to avoid future adjustments, and gate blades can be assembled or serviced without disturbing timing. PLC-based actuation enables controlled opening for smooth material flow. Fabricated from minimum 6 mm mild steel plate and reinforced as required, with AWS-standard welding and robust pivot shafts, these gates deliver dependable performance with low maintenance.
