Drag Chain Conveyor is a bulk material handling conveyor in which open chain links with fixed flights drag material along the bottom of a specially designed trough from the feeding end to the discharge end. The flights run between two strands of alloy steel chains and convey material in an open or fully sealed trough, making the system dust-proof, low-noise, and safe for plant environments. These conveyors are suitable for handling slightly sluggish, loose, lumpy, or hot materials and are designed for both horizontal and inclined transport up to 60°. Units can be supplied in various widths and lengths as per site requirements, with single or multiple inlets and outlets positioned along the conveyor path. Casing and internal liners are selected based on application, using carbon steel, stainless steel, or other suitable materials. The forged alloy steel chains are machined and heat-treated for high strength and wear resistance, and matching sprockets are case-hardened for long service life. Flights are bolted or welded to the chain links in shapes suited to the conveyed material.
