Decarb Annealing and Bluing Furnaces are specially designed for laminations requiring superior magnetic properties. The process includes three key stages: hydrogen-atmosphere decarburizing to reduce carbon content from 0.12% to 0.003%, controlled grain growth from ASTM 7 to ASTM 2, and steam bluing using superheated steam for corrosion resistance. Retorts are constructed from high-grade AISI 310 stainless steel to withstand high temperatures. Programmable process control allows precise regulation of heating, cooling, and dew point to optimize efficiency and ensure consistent quality across batches. Furnace sizes range from 300mm dia x 600mm ht to 2000mm dia x 3000mm ht.
