The Apex-HD Industrial Valve Plate is a high-precision, ground plate that acts as the dividing wall between the air distribution chambers and the pneumatic cylinder. Manufactured from Hardened Stainless Steel, Brass, or Carbon Steel, the plate features multiple laser-cut or CNC-machined orifices (ports). These ports align perfectly with the Valve Body and the reciprocating spool. This plate ensures that compressed air is directed to the correct side of the Piston Rod at precisely the right moment in the stroke. Its surface is typically lapped to a mirror finish to create a "bubble-tight" seal with the moving slider, preventing internal "blow-by" that would reduce the efficiency of your Zion Air Compressor or Apex-HP Grease Pump.
