Different circumstances of different fields also require different types of solutions for the shock pad layer of an artificial grass field. Saltex provides different shock pad systems to cover the needs of every individual field, considering the heating system, environmental requirements, removal possibility or FIFA Star 2 standard of the field.

 Saltex also recommends the use of a shock pad in children’s play areas, making the surface safer to fall on etc. A shock pad also stabilizes the grass, making it an even more excellent surface for exercise and play.

 Saltex has 3 shock pad options to OFFER;

 PU-binded SBR shock pad

 On-situ laid shock pad, manufactured from PU- binder and SBR- rubber granules. Thickness: 20mm and thicker.

Several years of experience: Known and proved to be able to stand the stress of at least one grass change in the life span of the shock pad.

 Does not absorb water. The porous structure lets water and heat penetrate the pad. Good playing characteristics even under wet conditions: because the shock pad does not freeze, the season prolongs.

 The pad is suitable for fields with or without a heating system.

 Meets the environmental standard DIN 18035-7.

 SALTEX PRF Foam pad

 Prefabricated in the thickness of 10mm, 12mm or 15mm.

 Due to the closed cells of the pad, Saltex PRF does not absorb water.

 Patented cutting pattern for water permeability: good playing characteristics even under wet conditions, prolongs the season because the shock pad does not freeze.

 Suitable for fields without a heating system. Not suitable for a field with a heating system.

 The raw material of the pad; polyethylene, meets all environmental standards.

 RECTICEL Foam pad

Prefabricated in the thickness of 12mm or 14mm.

Absorbs water due to open cells of the pad (in tests up to 25% of its volume).

Low insulation capacity, suitable for fields with a heating system.

 Meets all environmental standards.
