Screw conveyor is used for moving material like oil seed. Pulverized meal and Oil in horizontal direction or through a slightly inclined plane.
The screw conveyor consists of Mild Steel plate with angle welded along the edges and is filled with spiral mounted shaft. The feed is from the top at one end and discharge generally; from an opening at the bottom on the other end of the trough.
The shaft Is supported at both ends by bearings and also at intermediate position in long conveyors.
The shaft is extended from one for drive purpose.
