Additional Details

When the compressor is shut down, the receiver is vented to ensure that the compressor is not started under load. Venting valves blow down the receiver automatically if the pressure between the compressor outlet and NRV crosses below a certain level. Whilst the compressor is rising under load, the venting valve remains closed.
