M.I. thermocouple consist of thermoelectric elements embedded in ceramic insulation generally MgO within a seamless metalic tube. MI thermocouples are compact in size, have good mechanical strength and faster response time. Standard sheath of S.S. or Inconel in diameter of 1, 1.5, 3, 4.5, 6 & 8 mm are available with grounded, ungrounded or exposed junctions.
