Cyclone is a mechanical dust separator. The centrifugal force inside the cyclone creates the pressure drop and powder gets separated from the air hence dust free air escapes to the atmosphere. The limitation of the cyclone is very fine powder (below 10 microns) cannot be trapped in the cyclone.
