Ashok Industry are manufacturers of Corobit-1001 which is a very efficient corrosion inhibitor for acid pickling bath.

Generally Hydrochloric acid is used for pickling of metals. If inhibitor is not added to the acid during pickling, then it will readily attack the base metals causing heavy metal loss and sometimes even causing embrittlement of metals.

Addition of 0.1% to 0.5% of Corobit-1001 to acid pickling bath gives the following advantages :-

1. Reduces metal loss

2. Reduces acid consumption

3. Blistering and embrittlement of metals are minimized

4. Reduces acid fumes

5. Improves quality of pickled products

6. Reduces the quantity of spent liquor to be disposed off and

7. Decreases pickling cost

Corobit-1001 is also widely used as an inhibitor for acid descaling of boilers and heat exchangers to suppress attack on metals.
