Description

An Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) for Smoke and Fine Dust Collection is an industrial air pollution control system designed to remove fine particulate matter from exhaust gases before they are released into the atmosphere. It uses a high-voltage electric field to charge airborne particles and collect them on oppositely charged or grounded collection electrodes. The accumulated dust is then removed through a suitable rapping or cleaning mechanism.ESP systems are used in industrial facilities to control dust emissions, improve exhaust gas cleanliness, and support environmental compliance. Depending on the application, the system can be designed with emitting electrodes, collecting plates, a high-voltage power supply, gas distribution components, dust hoppers, and automated controls. Performance depends on particle characteristics, gas flow, temperature, system design, and operating conditions

Frequently Asked Questions
1
What is an electrostatic precipitator (ESP)?

An ESP is an air pollution control device that uses electrical charges to separate fine particles from gas streams and collect them on specially designed electrodes.

2
How does an ESP collect smoke and fine dust?

The system electrically charges particles in the exhaust gas. These particles move toward collecting electrodes, where they accumulate and are subsequently removed through a cleaning mechanism.

3
Where are ESP systems commonly installed?

They are commonly used in thermal power plants, cement plants, steel plants, sugar mills, paper mills, and other industrial facilities that require particulate emission control.

ESP For Smoke And Fine Dust Collection

An Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) is widely used in industries where flue gas contains suspended solid or liquid particles (particulate matter). It is especially effective for very fine particles that are difficult to capture.
