SM Series:-

• The basic construction is closed, fan cooled and IP 55 enclosure rating. SM series motor is able to properly run under overload conditions thanks to a high thermal reserve; the insulating materials are class F as standard (Class H on request)
• SM series motors are suitable to be supplied by inverter. The motor is provided with a top insulation system between windings, high level rotor balancing and double rubber screen bearings (2RS)
• The frame is made of aluminium alloy up to 132 frame size and of cast iron for bigger sizes. Shields and flanges are made of aluminum up to 90 frame size and of cast iron up to 225 frame size
• SM series motors are provided with an hexagonal hole at the N-Drive end in order to allow a manual shaft rotation with an Allen key. On request it is possible to order motors with cCSAus approval (in conformity with UL1004 e CSA C22.2 No100 standards).
• Main special executions: SMI built in inverter motors, SAE SAEAV built in encoder motors with optional servo fan, SMPV fly wheel motors for progressive start and stop SMSV double auxiliary ventilation motors
• Other special executions: Non standard shaft or flange special voltage windings thermal protectors, anti-condensation heat sensor bearings class H insulation material, special environment execution (wash down, marine & tropical).

SMX Series:-

• The SMX series consists of three phase asynchronous single speed 2, 4 and 6 poles motors for continuous duty with efficiency class IE2, in conformity with European Regulation 640/2009
• For other aspects the SMX series-motors have the same characteristics of the motors belonging to the SM series
• In Europe, the Commission Regulation 640/2009, adopted on 22 July 2009, specifies the requirements regarding the eco friendly design of electric motors. In particular, the Regulation establishes the minimum efficiency classes the motors should have
