Sodium bi-sulfite, also known as sodium hydrogen sulphite, is a clear, colourless to yellowish solution having an adequate percentage of sulphur di oxide. It is a strong reducing agent which finds wide application in various industries. It's molecular formula is NaHSO3 with a CAS No. of 7631-90-5. This chemical has a density of 1.48 gcm3. It is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents and strong acids.
