Anaerobic Adhesives Sealants are single part acrylic ester based 100% reactive system, which cures in the absence of air and in presence of metal. Excellent vibration, heat, oil & chemical resistance characterize the cured adhesive. They are high performance compounds possessing very high adhesive strength. Anaerobic adhesive products are typically used to augment the seal or holding force of a mechanically joined assembly. Anaerobic adhesives are used as threadlockers, thread sealants, retaining materials, and flange sealants. They work by completely filling microscopic gaps between interfacing threads to lock and seal threaded assemblies. Anaerobic formulations provide the viscosity necessary to deliver 100% surface-to-surface contact. Using an anaerobic adhesive prevents loosening from vibration, and also protects the joint from corrosion or rust that can result from moisture.
