The pouring ladle, tundish, launder, basin etc are used to transfer molten aluminium and copper based alloy refractories. The MS shell of the above refractory shape is lined with a high alumina refractory material and sintered at high temperature. This lining material is a high strength chemical bonded ceramic material. It has good insulating property which reduces the heat loss of the metal along with it's insulating property it is also non-wetting to molten metal thus reducing the metal loss.
