Corrosion Inhibitors are commonly used to minimize corrosion to copper, mild steel, iron, aluminum, and bronze metals. The most common chemical used is a nitrite based corrosion inhibitor. This product is Closed Loop Chemical 2338D. This product is ideal for chillers that operate lower then 45 degrees. If your chiller is above 45 F degrees you should use a straight Molybdate / Nitrite based product, CLC1358D, since Nitrite is a food source for bacteria development.
