Other Details

Asbestos Rope packing enables various packing derivatives to suit different service temperature ranges. It is a popular sealing element in manufacturing equipment-handling heat such as furnaces, boilers, high temperature instruments. In power plans, Asbestos rope is a basic maintenance item used for general boiler service such as caulking, filling, expansion joints, between boiler walls, and brick work, and on steam and exhaust lines. Asbestos rope packing is an excellent emergency substitute for packing, gaskets and groove packing where other materials are not available or where less pliable, less adaptable materials cannot be used. Its piling develops causaioning effect. The dense packing does not allow temperature and fluid like steam to escape.

Round And Square

Applications: Heat insulation of pipes and boiler sealings, hot gas ovens autoclave doors, furnace joints, hot blast valves, blue cap doors etc. Also as steam packing for engines.

Special Quality
This quality is most suitable for higher temperature application.
Sizes: 6 mm and above up to 100 mm
Packing: In coils, with weight varying according to rope thickness as follows: 6 mm to 10 mm - 5 kg, 12 mm to 50 mm - 7.5 kg, 10 kg and 20 kg.
Applications: This rope is developed as per the specific requirements of the users. It would be most suitable for working on higher temperatures.

Twisted Rope
Instead of plaiting Asbestos strands are just twisted to form a round cross section rope.
Sizes : 6 mm and above up to 50 mm
Packings: In coils weighing 5 kg, 7.5 kg, 10 kg and 20 kg.
Applications: Heating Insulation, caulking between rough or irregular surfaces, packing around Furnace and explosion doors insulation for blast Furnace connections, coke ovens, gas generators, joints or crack in Furnace brick work.

Fibre Filied Lagging
A low density untwisted Asbestos Fibre lagging is held together by a wide braided net of thin Asbestos yarn.
Sizes: 12.5 mm, 16 mm, 19 mm, 22 mm, 25 mm, 32 mm, 38 mm, 45 mm and 51 mm.
Packings: In 30 meter long coils
Applications: Most suitable for steam insulation. Used for covering steam pipe lines, hot water pipes and exhausts of marine boilers and power plants. Its application is very simple. Easy to wrap on pipe and itself providing a primary insulation.
