The pattern features complex cross-ribbed internal core boxes to ensure the final bed is lightweight yet extremely rigid. Every guide-way profile, whether a V-way or Flat-way, is CNC machined into the pattern with absolute precision. This ensures that the final casting has minimal warping and provides a "near-perfect" reference surface for the subsequent precision grinding processes.

A solid block of iron would be too heavy and might warp due to internal stresses. The Ribbed Core Design (Honeycomb or X-bracing) provides maximum rigidity and vibration damping while keeping the weight manageable and allowing for better heat dissipation.
Large beds tend to bow or twist during cooling. We build Pre-Camber (Anti-Warp) into the pattern—intentionally curving it slightly in the opposite direction so that when the metal cools and shrinks, it pulls itself into a perfectly straight line.
For machine beds, even a 1mm warp is a failure. Tooling Board or Metal doesn't "breathe" or swell with humidity like cheap wood does. This ensures the guide-ways remain perfectly parallel throughout the entire molding campaign.
Yes. If your process requires Chill Plates (to harden the guide-ways), we design the pattern with specific "Chill Prints." This allows the foundry to place metal chills exactly where the slide-ways will be, resulting in a wear-resistant surface.
Guide-ways need to be perfectly ground. We provide a 10mm–15mm margin to ensure that any surface impurities or sand inclusions are completely removed during the rough machining and final precision grinding stages.
