The possibility of nozzle or flange failure increases sharply when vibration is a problem or when these materials are subjected to significant tense stresses. Answer:Expansion joints made of or lined with-PTFE permit the transfer of the most corrosive chemicals even when high operating temperatures, pressures and flow rates add to the corrosive action.
