Additional Details

We provide a comprehensive range of Secondary Micronutrient --Vivekon- II which provides a Ca-Mg-S combination. These are known as secondary nutrients and perform an effective role in growth of the plants. Our range of product can be customized as per the clients specifications.

Functions of secondary nutrients:

The secondary nutrients like sulfur (S), magnesium (Mg) and calcium (Ca) plays a key role in the growth and health of plants, animals, and humans. Because of their functions in living organisms they are also called the synthesizers

Sulfur

Most S in present the soil is found in the organic matter and cannot be used by the plant until it is converted to the sulfate (SO4) form by soil bacteria. That process of the conversion of sulfur in to the sulfate is known as mineralization. Sulfur can be applied as broadcast, banded fertilizer material and through irrigation systems (furrow and sprinkler). Sulfur is also essential for proper nutrition of forage crops that will be consumed by livestock.

Magnesium

Magnesium helps the crops to capture the sun energy for growth and production
Magnesium can be added to into the soils by applying Mg-containing fertilizers or dolomitic limestone
Dolomitic limestone contains both Ca and Mg carbonates (for neutralizing value), whereas calcitic limestone contains only Ca carbonate

Its functions include:

    Phosphate metabolism
    Plant respiration
    Activation of enzyme systems

Calcium

Though Calcium (Ca) is sometimes considered a low key nutrient but it plays an important role in plant growth. Calcium availability is adequate for most crops when soils are limed to properly adjust soil acidity. Deficiencies of Ca are most likely to occur on acid, sandy soils from which available Ca has been leached by rain or irrigation water.  These deficiencies also occur in strongly acid peat and mucj soil where total soil Ca is low. High exchangeable soil sodium (Na) may depress plant uptake of Ca.
