Hydro Turbine Castings are manufactured using electric-furnace plus AOD duplexing technique, which maintains the Ni4 series stainless steel content as per the commercial requirements. It also minimizes the impurity and gas content up to a minimum level ( [P,S] =0.04%,[N] =70ppm,[O] =40ppm). Castings manufactured using carbon lath martensite, are given special heat treatment which enhances strength, hardness and yield-tensile ratio. This technique has been successfully used for manufacturing of flow passages components for hydro-turbine such as wicket gate, Francis crown, Francis band, Kaplan and Francis blade of various sizes, Pelton and Kaplan & Francis turbine runner. Other special steel products offered by us include the castings with boron, which is applicable in nuclear power stations, and other components made using heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant material. The product capacity is around 1000 tons per year.
