The Split Curled Bearings have properties which make them an attractive and economic alternative to bearinggs manufactured from conventional materials. The most important property is the very low coefficient of friction. Oil or grease lubrication is not neccessary, a vital friction .Oil or grease lubrication is not neccssary ,a vital consideration when product must not be contaminated - for example when Food or pharmaccutical products are handled; and on paper and textile proccssing machinery. Lubricants may be equally undesirable when equipment operates in dirty or dusty conditions.Abrasive particles adhere to the oil or grease forming a grinding paste.which wears the bearing surfaces. PTFE Split Curled Bearings used to replace metal bearings or as bearing linings on mining, quarrying and agricultural equipment , eliminate shaft wear and the need for frequent renewal of bearings, previously associated with the conditions under which this equipment is required to operate. A further category of applications where PTFE split curled bearings are bearings are being preffered , includes domestic industrial electrical appliences which are required to operate for long periods without maitenance, and equipment for which grease or oil lubrication is impracticable because of inaccessibility or where at the service temprature, common lubricants degenerate.PTFE Split Curled bearings may be used at temperatures up to 200 C (392F). PTFE split curled bearings have been used successfully for journal bearings, bottom bearings, centre bushes on multi-stage pumps, neck bushes, throttle bushes and pump wearing rings; they also have numerous uses on small components such as carburettor throttle shafts, governer controls, linkage and camera contorls. These bearings are formed by curving around a shaft a thin srip of a glass-reinforced PTFE material.the load carring surface is free to move thus preventing concentration of wear on any one spot.the thinness allows rapid heat dissipation so that the bearings can be used at high loads and shaft speeds. PTFE split curled bearings possess the self-lubricating,non-ageing chemical-resisting properties of the parent material,Polytetrafluoroethylene, plus additional properties such as increased machanical strength and abrasion resistance, which are imparted by special processing, and the introduction of fibre-glass reinforcement during the manufacture of the material. The low coefficient of friction decreases with load, increases with speed -there is no slip-stick when starting up with these bearings.

Engage in manufactured and supply of moulded and precision machinery products from pure and filled PTFE.
