The AVS monitors the voltage for a short period to ensure that power has stabilized before you reconnect. In addition, the start-up delay (3 min) provides protection against current overvoltages experienced when power is restored in a power failure situation. Surge and peak protection is also included to provide protection against these very frequent events. They are generated by lightning and close to the extinction of other equipment such as vacuum cleaners, pumps, motors, television, elevators, etc.
