The conventional crystallization process is followed in the dewaxing section where the low and high melting point triglycerides are differentiated by a partial crystallization process which is then followed by a filtration process.

The dewaxing facilities are specially designed to meet the current requirements of the market for quality refined oils. The dewaxing facilities are incorporated with intrinsically designed crystallizers and mattresses specially designed for very slow cooling with continuous agitation for better heat transfer. In the process the oil to be dewaxed is passed through a heat exchanger in which the temperature of the oil is brought back to room temperature and introduced into the crystallizer for nucleation and the formation of crystals at low temperature. The matrices are used for the propagation and growth of wax crystals and finally the crystallized mass is filtered in filter presses of the plate and chassis type. The dewaxed oil thus obtained ensures the clarity of the oil even at lower temperatures.
