Azospirillum Bio-Fertilisers are nitrogen fixers. They fixes the atmospheric nitrogen non-symbiotically i.e. they live in the soil and does not form any association with the plants. In addition to the nitrogen fixation, it produces plant growth promoting substances such as Indole Acetic Acid (IAA), Gibberlins and Cytokinins. It helps in increased uptake of mineralised water.
